About me
Marti Klein, NBC-HWC is a health and wellbeing coach certified by the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
She received her training at Emory University. She is also a lifestyle medicine coach, a graduate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine’s certificate program. She recently completed the introductory course in Culinary Coaching from Harvard Medical School, and will complete her the certification program next month in July. She also recently studied mindful self compassion with Kristin Neff, PhD. and Chris Germer, PhD., two leading experts in that field.
Ms. Klein has a broad-based background in the medical field, including graduate work in Epidemiology and professional work experience in clinical settings and as a consultant. In addition to coaching, she has many years of experience working with people as a college instructor and judge.
She is an affiliate member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and a clinician member of the National Lymphedema Network. She is also a member of the Lipedema Educational Group.
Earlier this year, Ms. Klein was the featured guest on LymphCast and the guest host for Lipoedema UK’s "Living with Lipoedema" weekly members' webinar.
Last year, she made a presentation on the value of health and wellness coaching for lipedema care at the Lipedema World Congress meeting in Potsdam, Germany. Earlier this year, she presented a workshop on self care from the viewpoint of a health and wellness coach for lipedema, Dercum's disease, Madelung's disease, and familial multiple lipomatosis at the 2024 Fat Disorders Research Society (FDRS) conference in Saint Louis, Missouri.
She is looking forward to presenting a workshop on lipedema self care from the viewpoint of a health and wellness coach at the 2024 Lipoedema Australia conference in Melbourne, Australia.
